In July 2023, the Indo Korean Center is accredited by the King Sejong Institute Foundation (under Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism, Republic of Korea(South)) and designated as IKC King Sejong Institute Pune (푸네 세종학당). Henceforth, successful candidates of the Korean language program of King Sejong Institute Pune (푸네 세종학당) shall be awarded the level completion certificate as per the regulations and guidelines laid by the King Sejong Foundation (Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism, Govt. of South Korea, R.O.K) and shall remain valid across the world.

Summary for IKC King Sejong Institute Pune  ‘Korean language & culture’ course:
1.The IKC-King Sejong Institute Pune  ‘Korean language & culture’ course  Offline & Online programs  is OPEN for Indian nationals above 16 year of age , and educational qualification: minimum 10th Class completion certificate and above.

*All course programs are designed with latest 2022 Sejong Korean curriculum text book suggested by the KSI foundation (under Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism, Govt. of South Korea, R.O.K))and this center’s application based projects. Course program timetable is subject to change.

*OFFLINE course available for Level 1,2,3,4, & 5 , ONLINE course available for Level 6 & 9 (* Subject to changes each Sem., so take note of the final course schedule and Timetable shared above)

*Extras: Depending upon the semester the calendar year of IKC KSI Pune is full of excitements including KSI on the move, Korean cultural events,  preparation for KSIF international speech contest (winner will stand a chance to go to Korea for finals), internships, guidance and multiple cultural programs and 동아리 (Club) is a free special course to enrolled students on Saturdays and admission is audition based to the same, at IKC KSI PUNE. FEE: All course fee includes 18%GST . All Korean language and Culture course fee for OFFLINE, HYBRID & ONLINE courses is  Rs.8475+18% GST(Rs.1525)= Rs.10,000 . The fee includes course fee, class cultural activities, 동아리 (Club),library usage, certificate and ID card (for new students of Level-1) and taxes for the course period per level (60hours, 3.5months) and to be paid immediately after declaration of interview result and receiving acceptance email which will contain all payment details. Direct Admission students or students of higher levels can pay Rs100/- for ID card. Physical certificate of course completion will be granted to offline and hybrid students and soft copy digital certificate to Online student, who have 70% and above attendance and as per evaluation regulation of KSI foundation (under Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism, Govt. of South Korea, R.O.K)

*Exclusions : Library usage needs a refundable deposit of Rs.2500/-.

*No refund policy once admission is closed for the term. Fees shall not be refunded , transferred or adjusted in future courses under any circumstances after the admission closed date for the applied term and person (unless class is cancelled due to lack of minimum number of students or operational limitations of King Sejong Institute because of unforeseen circumstances). If any documents is found forged or untrue your admission will get cancelled and no refund will be initiated. Consider the same before filling admission form.

3. Successful students in IKC-King Sejong Institute Pune, Korean language levels will receive digital Certificate issued by the director of King Sejong Institute Pune accredited by the King Sejong Foundation (Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism, Republic of Korea), and to students as per the stipulated guidelines of the foundation and  center within 3-4 weeks of evaluation completion. After receiving certificate, the candidate must check all credentials mentioned like name, birthdate, level and semester, if any discrepancies exist, must be reported and brought to the notice of the center through email within 1 month of receiving the certificate, to be considered for revision. Certificates cannot be revised after this time period. *NOTE: Certification is controlled by the King Sejong Foundation (Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism, Republic of Korea), and policies are subject to change,which may benefit the students career prospects.

4.Successful applicants of this form will receive a tele verification call from +91-9890643590, and followed by a email with fee payment details. Those students eligible for Entrance exam for higher levels will receive a mail along with time slot and Zoom log in details for taking written exam and interview (interview schedule mentioned above). Those who get selected in interview will receive acceptance mail along with banking details for payment of course fees. * A welcome mail with details and if Online course then ZOOM LOGIN credentials for joining the class shall be sent to those candidates who have paid their fee before due dates mentioned in acceptance of application mail. 

5.Fees shall not be refunded unless class is cancelled due to lack of minimum number of students or operational limitations of King Sejong Institute because of unforeseen circumstances.

6. All clubs and Special courses (Youtube, music, singing, dancing)), Indo-Korean cultural activities or events arranged at the center is open to all students of IKC King Sejong Institute Pune for both Online and Offline. It will remain free to all enrolled students in Korean Language courses of this institution as an introductory offer. Admission will be interview & audition based to clubs.

7.Volunteering, Internship,  Scholarships & Admission to higher education in Korea advisory,  and Placement opportunities is extended to students of this institute as per terms & conditions of hiring companies, Korean Universities and operating institute (Indo Korean Center) Career Development Center (CDC), your primary education degree, fluency in Korean, Additional certificates of this institution, and must have secured a minimum of three level completion certificates from this institute.

PROGRAM DETAILS:

1.Korean Language teachers: IKC and IKC King Sejong Institute Pune, provide only highly qualified licensed Native teachers across all course programs. Visiting faculty from reputed Korean and Indian organizations will also be part of the program and class projects. Assistant Indian instructors are available for project guidance.

2.Course enrichment programs with Korean cultural sessions will be available as a part of the curriculum, and will be conducted by our team of professionals and collaboration with Korean organizations. Additionally, all OFFLINE동아리 (Club) activities, cultural related programs and contests will be accessible by any IKC student.

3.Number of students: Minimum 10 students is needed to start a class

4.Platform: for Online ZOOM live. This is a conventional learning center and hence no recorded sessions will be provided if student is absent. *Offline and Hybrid at the center for the approved Levels as marked above.

5.Certificate of completion:

All KSI Pune students must take note that, The Sejong Korean language programs shall be conducted under the curriculum, regulations and guidelines laid by the King Sejong Foundation (Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism, Republic of Korea(South)), and digital completion certificates issued by the King Sejong Institute Pune for Online courses and physical certificate for the Offline and Hybrid courses.

ADMISSION PROCESS:

1.Eligibility criteria for admission: Indian nationals above 16 year of age and educational qualification: minimum10th Class completion certificate and above.

2.Student selection criteria: On first come first get and interview for Sejong Korean 1 admission and for L2 and above will be based on entrance test, interview and previous level completion certificate. The decision of officials will be final. The Online ZOOM entrance test for this term is as per schedule mentioned above.

3.Fee Payment Duration: Immediately after receiving admission acceptance email and filling up of PAY FORM (Bank details will be sent by email to only selected students ).  

4.Fees: All Korean language and Culture course (OFFLINE & ONLINE):

RULES AND REGULATION:

1.Eligibility criteria for course admission: Indian nationals ONLY, and above 16 year of age and educational qualification: minimum10th Class completion certificate and above. No previous knowledge of Korean or certificate is required for admission to Sejong Korean 1.

2.Admission to Courses ‘Above IKC KSI Pune – level 1’ will require the previous Level completion certificate to take entrance test (Self study, unmonitored online self evaluation certificate, HOBBY class and less than 50 hours certificate not eligible)

3.Fees shall not be refunded unless class is cancelled due to lack of minimum number of students or operational limitations of King Sejong Institute because of unforeseen circumstances.

4.In order to pass the level, you must have 70% Minimum attendance, (medical leave grant is processed maximum of 2days (equal to 1 hour/day) per semester only when the medical certificate on a doctors letter head with complete details is submitted within 1 week of joining back) All attendance related matter must be communicated to ADMIN only through mail : info.indokoreancenter@gmail.com and not through WhatsApp text, SMS, calls, etc and NOT to any other staff, KSI Pune all the exams consisting of listening, reading, writing, speaking which are 100marks each)  and complete minimum assignments specified by class teacher. Level completion Certificate will be issued to all students who pass this criteria as per guidelines within 3-4 weeks of Evaluation. 70% attendance is compulsory for level completion, failure to which no refund shall be granted and this ineligible term admission shall not be transferable or adjusted in any future course program. 2026 King Sejong Institute Foundation, level completion certificate and evaluation update as bellows :

A local King Sejong Institute (KSI) need not conduct any monitored or mandatory level completion exam from Sem 1-2026 onwards at the end of Sem. It may, however, offer to its students a self practice unofficial mock test and in a pattern best set as an additional effort for students to try and can be considered at best a practice self test and not an official final exam. Henceforth, no official final exam evaluation is needed to receive a general level completion certificate  from a KSI other than strict adherence to attendance criteria  and regular assignments. However, the KSIF through its local institutions shall be offering an Annual official monitored exam evaluation. This exam shall be offered through the local King Sejong Institute to its enrolled students as an option. While the test will be offered free, however, it shall remain optional. The certificate for successful students of this monitored KSIF level exam will differ than what one receives as the general level completion certificate from local King Sejong Institute. The annual date of this monitored KSIF level exam for King Sejong Institute Pune can be obtained by enrolled students from the CDC .

*The first two days shall be considered a settlement period. Optional Revision of academics class may be available at the end of term for 2 hours and attendance will not be mandatory for the same.

5.Exams schedule shall be announced in the class.

6.Communication language will be English & Korean during the class time, the percentage of Korean communication will increase as the level is increased. Outside class, all administrative related communication will be available in English, Hindi, Marathi and Korean. Only one mobile nos. (WhatsApp enabled) and verified over cellular call is permitted per student, any change desired for a replacement must be requested by email to admin at ‘info.indokoreancenter@gmail.com’ and verified over cellular call.

7.Students need to have a stable broadband/4G LTE internet connection. If students fail to attend online classes due to problems of personal Internet connection, then the loss will be borne by the student. In all ONLINE courses , it is mandatory to keep the VIDEO ON for security concerns.

8.Semester course schedules cannot be changed according to the students’ convenience during the course. No extra class or recordings will be provided in case of students’ absence.

9.Showing disrespect of any kind to the teachers or staff, students instigating other students against the guidelines or disobeying of guidelines for all activities ,likewise, will result in expulsion from the Institute and cancellation of registration.No refund of fees will be made for such expulsions. If it is found anytime in future that your submitted previous level completion certificate is invalid for the course admitted to or forged then your admission will remain immediately cancelled, it will be reported to KSI foundation and IKC, no fee will be refunded, and you will be barred to any future course admission.

10.There will be no holidays other than on what gets mentioned on DAY1 by faculty in this semester.

11.The final decision of selection of applicants for any course and the right of admission in IKC KSI Pune premises is reserved by Indo-Korean Center. No further communication shall be made related to the same. Offline students must carry their ID card.

12.IKC and KSI Pune reserves the rights to change schedule, terms & conditions based on operational reasons.

13.Registering for IKC KSI Pune classes is considered to be agreeing to all above Rules and Regulations, personal information collection including ID card, name, e-mail address, telephone number, gender and date of birth etc and willing to accept phone calls from IKC personnel’s. Applicant registered number shall be added in various broadcast lists of IKC KSI Pune like Alumni and cultural events. Applicant should not‘record’ (through any means), any online or offline class lectures or interviews. If found of such incident in future will be barred to join any IKC KSI Pune programs.

14.Recommendation letter either for Embassy track applicants /employment related /general , will be issued to only IKC KSI Pune students who have completed 3 levels or more, having an overall excellent track record/ or given best student award. All expenses related to shipping of the same through any form of logistics support and courier across India shall be paid by applicants. Additionally, students having an overall excellent track record/ or given best student award along with zero absence during the Sem. will receive separate awards from IKC.

15. If at any given point of time, it is found in the final audit of documents and attendance (70%) by administration, then you will be barred from receiving level completion certificate and disqualification applied.

16.Photographs and videos of students acquired during course, project and events hosted by IKC KSI Pune will be owned by IKC, Pune. The right of use of such material will be reserved by Indo-Korean Center, Pune
